Bid Manager

The Bid Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and submission of proposals in response to client requests and competitive tenders. This role involves managing a team of 3, bid managers and calculation manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, competitive bids on time. The Team Leader will work closely with various departments to gather necessary information, strategize on proposal approaches and maintain a pipeline of bid opportunities. The position and team are located in Slavkov u Brna, Czech republic and work on-site is required.

Main responsibilities:

  • lead, mentor and manage a bid team
  • assign tasks and ensure the team meets deadlines and quality standards
  • oversee the end-to-end bid process, from initial analysis to final submission
  • ensure all proposals are compliant with client requirements and company standards
  • review and edit proposals for clarity, compliance and competitive positioning
  • maintain a bid calendar and manage the pipeline of opportunities
  • analyse feedback from past bids to improve future proposals
  • provide regular updates and reports to senior management on bid activities and performance metrics
  • analyse and identify trends and areas for improvement in the bid process
  • coordinate and collaborate witihi cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, legal and marketing, to gather necessary inputs for bid proposals
  • close coordination of bid work with our parent organization in Sweden

Your profile:

  • university degree in Business, Finance, Project management or related field
  • proven experience in bid management or finance or a similar role within an international organization
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • excellent English proficiency - both written and spoken English must be at a professional level
  • willingness to travel occasionally
  • strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • will be good if you are experienced in working with ERP systems
