Job Description:
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a crucial role, providing strategic support to one or more business client groups. This position involves developing a talent strategy that aligns with the business strategy and leveraging HR Operations and Talent Management teams for successful implementation. The HRBP must thoroughly understand the business and strategic goals, and serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team.
The HRBP Director will work with HR teams to ensure the effective execution of initiatives in talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, employee relations, total rewards, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
This position is located at the Saab, Inc. national headquarters in East Syracuse, NY and is eligible for the Saab, Inc. relocation package.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the business and its role within the larger organization.
Provide strategic advice and management in organizational effectiveness, development, coaching, and talent management.
Lead organizational HR transformation efforts .
Develop, educate and recommend solutions in areas such as staffing, employee communication, talent and career development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HRIS delivery.
Support business growth by identifying talent gaps, strengthening succession planning, and ensuring talent readiness.
Ensure effective organizational design, structure, and staffing models through strategic leadership.
Partner with business leaders for regular talent reviews, organizational reviews, career development planning, performance reviews, and workforce planning.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop strategies for current and future talent needs.
Support the HR organization on key projects and initiatives.
Compensation Range: $154,300-$204,500
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
Proven track record in HR leadership and/or HRBP roles.
Experience in HR leadership within high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Experience working with a large-scale engineering operation.
Aerospace and Defense industry experience preferred but not required.
Expertise in HR strategy development and execution.
Experience in geographically dispersed and matrix organizational structures.
Strong business acumen and sound judgment in decision-making.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative, results-oriented mindset.
Effective communication and influencing skills to build authentic, trusting relationships, especially in organizational planning and design.
Strong coaching, consulting, and facilitation abilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience leading project teams and driving change.
Self-directed work style with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.
